Bio

Devante began his on-ice career with the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors (OHL) in 2008. He would return to play OHL hockey even after being drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in 2010, losing in the finals to the Owen Sound Attack but qualifying for the 2011 Memorial Cup. The cup went to the Saint John Seadogs that year but Devante’s skillful contributions to the Majors’ efforts won him a position on the Tournament All-Star Team.

Devante has also played for Canada internationally at World U-17 Hockey Challenge in 2009. In 2012 the Anaheim Ducks loaned Devante to the Canadian under-20 team, for him he served as alternate captain during the World Junior Champanionships. The team took home a bronze medal that year.
